Part ~ 2

CHECK AND REPLACE ANY DAMAGED PARTS
(Like the boots or dust wipers)

If you do not have the RST repair kit then use the parts list in order to obtain the correct parts.

Grease both springs before inserting them in to the outer legs and tighten clockwise.
Grease the inside of both outer legs before carefully replacing them on to the correct stanchion and tighten fully clockwise by hand.

Then turn each outer leg counter-clockwise until the fixings for the brake brace are correct.

Ensure secure fitting by pulling downwards.

Replace the brace bolts (x4) and tighten using a 4mm hex wrench.

NOTE: Torque setting = 60 kg/cm.

Replace pivot bolts (x2) and tighten using 150mm adjustable wrench.

NOTE: Torque setting = 80 kg/cm

Never over tighten bolts as this may cause damage resulting in failure.

Check that the fork is securely fixed by pulling the crown and outer legs apart.

Always remember to:

Check fork for correct operation before every ride and after any servicing.

Keep the stanchion area clear of dirt and water as this may lead to an increased need for servicing.

Never use a high-pressure hose to clean suspension forks.
